Fiscal Year 2022-23 Recap

FY 2022-23 has been nothing short of extraordinary at Dogs for Better Lives. It was a year filled with moments that have touched hearts, transformed lives, and reinforced our commitment to our Assistance Dogs and the people they serve.

We saw exciting new program launches last fiscal year, including the launch of the From Shelter to Service Program in Texas and Prison Puppy Raising Program in Ohio. Both initiatives help lay the foundation for DBL to continue to grow serve more people.

Our volunteers have been the backbone of this incredible journey, with the launch of Regional Advisory Board – California (RAB-CA), the addition of more Puppy Raisers than ever before, and the spread of our mission to even more states across the nation. Thousands of volunteer hours have been selflessly logged to support our cause, bringing us closer to our goal of transforming lives through the power of Service Dogs.

Fundraising and awareness efforts have soared to new heights, exemplified by our inaugural signature event – Bone AppeTREAT, which not only raised enough to fully fund two Service Dogs but also engaged donors and friends from all corners of the country.

Thank you to all volunteers, donors, staff, Board Members, Puppy Raisers and companies who have lent their support in the past year. We couldn’t do it without this amazing community!

Check out our infographic that highlights a few of our key milestones and successes from last fiscal year.
