Dogs for Better Lives is participating in Giving Tuesday again this year, and we are thrilled to announce that your gift will go twice as far on this international day of giving. Thanks to the generosity of multiple donors, your donation will have double the impact, with the first $15,000 raised being matched dollar for dollar.
Clients like Lauren simply can’t envision life without their Service Dog by their side.
“I feel that I can show up more completely in my day-to-day life without fear, knowing that Ganache is by my side and will be my ears. Ganache goes everywhere with me, the grocery store, restaurants, mall, and outings with friends. Thank you to Dogs for Better Lives donors for making Ganache possible – having Ganache has allowed me to live my life more independently.” says Lauren.
At Dogs for Better Lives, our mission is to acquire or breed, train, and place Assistance Dogs at no cost to those in need. These dogs empower deaf or hard-of-hearing adults, children diagnosed with autism, and licensed professionals, enabling them to lead safer and more independent lives.
Supporting Program Growth
The funds raised this Giving Tuesday will support our new Prison Puppy Raising Program. In this unique initiative, incarcerated handlers nurture and train puppies who will one day serve as Service Dogs. In its first 6 months, the program has already grown by leaps and bounds, however, this program’s potential to transform lives is limited by the need for resources to grow.
Growth of the Prison Puppy Raising Program will support more individual handlers and make it possible for more puppies to enter our professional Service Dog training programs. As always, Dogs for Better Lives ensures that 100% of donations made on Giving Tuesday will directly fund programmatic expenses, ensuring that every dollar contributes to making a tangible difference.
Additionally, we are excited to participate in #CryptoGivingTuesday. Cryptocurrency donations are also eligible for the match, allowing donors to contribute to our cause through this innovative avenue.
Thank you to our Dogs for Better Lives community for making independence possible for more people with disabilities, through support of our life-changing Service Dogs.
