CENTRAL POINT, OR  – Dogs for Better Lives was recently surprised with a generous $5,000 grant from Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company. The grant is part of the MuttNation’s Mutts Across America program that provides a quarter-million dollars in grants annually to shelters and animal nonprofits that promote animal welfare.

Each year the Foundation chooses a nonprofit in all 50 states to receive a grant. DBL was chosen as the grant recipient for the state of Oregon. Organizations are carefully vetted based on criteria such as rescuing dogs, fiscal responsibility, advocacy, community presence, website and social media presence and more.

DBL maintains a lifelong commitment to all dogs we rescue or breed by continuously keeping their physical, emotional and mental wellbeing at the center of all of our decisions. The DBL team is also dedicated to our community of clients and supporters, providing our services with kindness, compassion and transparency.

“We’re so appreciative of Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation and Tractor Supply Company for their grant in support of our organization,” stated CEO Bryan Williams. “With only one winner per state each year, we know there is a high bar to be selected as a recipient. This honor is truly a testament to the hard work of DBL’s staff, volunteers, and partners in Oregon and across the country.”

Since 2018, MuttNation’s Mutts Across America has supported more than 350 shelters with over $1.5 million in grants.
