CENTRAL POINT, OR; On Tuesday, November 30th, Dogs for Better Lives (DBL) will officially kick off the holiday giving season with Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving back. Between GivingTuesday and December 31st, DBL is seeking donor support to sponsor five Assistance Dogs (for a total of $255,000).
The first giving opportunity will be on GivingTuesday, and DBL is excited to announce that several generous donors have stepped up to match the first $15,000 raised of our $30,000 GivingTuesday goal. We are full of gratitude to the donors that made this match possible.
November 30th also is CryptoGivingTuesday, which DBL will be participating in for the first time. Since DBL began accepting donations with cryptocurrency in October, we have raised several thousands of dollars. With more donors interested in donating with cryptocurrency, DBL has partnered with The Giving Block, which provides technological solutions and support to charities that want to accept cryptocurrency donations. Supporters can donate crypto to DBL via this link. Cryptocurrency donations received are converted to US dollars and will be eligible for the match as well.

This holiday season, there has never been a better time to give to DBL. 100% of each donation goes directly to supporting programmatic services. Administrative and fundraising expenses are fully funded by an endowment, specifically the interest earned from DBL’s long-standing investments made possible by the organization’s Guardian Society donors.
After GivingTuesday, DBL will be continuing to work toward the goal sponsoring five Assistance Dogs by the end of 2021 with our Holiday Match campaign. The collaboration of several generous donors have offered to match – DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR every gift received by December 31st, up to $100,000.
With the support of generous donors, we continue to change the lives of people with hearing loss, families with a child with autism, licensed professionals in need of a canine assistant, and families looking to adopt one of our special Career Change Dogs, and we look forward to placing more dogs in 2022.
