By January 13, 2022No Comments

CENTRAL POINT, OR  – In November, Dogs for Better Lives set a lofty goal to raise  $255,000 between Giving Tuesday and December 31st – enough to sponsor 5 Assistance dogs. Thanks to the generous support of donors, DBL achieved this goal!

During the holiday season, multiple donors offered matching gifts to help spur donations. DBL also engaged with new donors who elected to donate with cryptocurrency. The generosity DBL saw from donors in 2021 is truly awe inspiring!

“At DBL, our amazing Assistance Dogs give their owners more independence and a feeling of safety and security – and of course, lots of love and kisses,” said Sara Ifert, VP of Marketing. “DBL is unique in that we provide Assistance Dogs at ZERO cost to our clients thanks to the generosity of our kind supporters.”

DBL carefully stewards donor dollars, with 100% of donations going toward programmatic expenses since January of 2020. For eight years in a row, DBL has been awarded a four-star rating from Charity Navigator – the highest rating possible. In addition to the annual star rating, Charity Navigator recently gave DBL a 98.12 score out of 100, recognizing strong financial health and a commitment to accountability and transparency. This score places DBL at #2 in the nation when compared to similar service dog organizations.

Thank you from everyone at DBL for your continued support, encouragement and inspiration. We are excited for the new year ahead.
