This September, in honor of National Service Dog Month, Dogs for Better Lives will launch our 2026 Calendar Contest Fundraiser! It’s a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the incredible dogs who change lives every day while raising vital funds for our mission.

How It Works
DBL Monthly Feature (DBL Dogs Only – Free to Enter)
Is your dog a DBL dog? They could be the featured star of the month! Eligible categories include:
- Hearing Assistance Dogs
- Autism Assistance Dogs
- Facility Dogs
- Career Change Dogs
- Breeder Dogs
- DBL Puppies in Training
Details
- Entry is free.
- Photos must be of dogs only (no people, please).
- Puppy Raisers, clients, and adopters can share their dog’s entry with friends and family to encourage votes.
- Votes are $1 each—the more votes a dog receives, the higher their chance of winning a calendar feature.
Prizes & Recognition
- Top 12 DBL Dogs (most votes): Will be featured as monthly stars in the 2026 calendar, plus receive a free calendar and a DBL bandana.
- Top Fundraiser Overall: Will earn the coveted cover photo AND be featured in the month of their choice.

Details
Don’t have a DBL dog? You can still join the fun! For just $10, any dog can be featured in a date block of the calendar – first come first served. Choose their birthday, adoption day, or any day that’s special to you. Your pup’s photo will appear on that date so they can be celebrated all year long.
(Note: dogs only in photos—no people.)

Q: Who can enter the monthly feature contest?
A: Only DBL Dogs (Hearing Assistance, Autism Assistance, Facility, Career Change, Breeder, or Puppies in Training) are eligible.

A: Entry for DBL Dogs is free. For other dogs, you can purchase a day-block spot for $10.
