Our Lifetime Commitment

At Dogs for Better Lives, our commitment doesn’t stop at placement—we’re here for the lifetime of every Service Dog Team.

How it works:
After a dog is placed, our Certified Trainers conduct regular follow-up visits—traveling to the client’s home to assess progress, provide hands-on support, reinforce training, and troubleshoot any challenges.

Why we do it this way:
We believe that long-term success comes from personalized, consistent support. By bringing follow-up services directly to the client, we reduce barriers, build stronger bonds between dog and handler, and ensure each team continues to thrive in their everyday environment.

“Seeing Albus in his home with Candace was a great reminder of why follow-up visits matter so much. He’s clearly thriving—not just in his task work, but in the bond they share. We were able to reinforce his sound alerts and even introduce new tasks, which he picked up right away. That kind of progress is only possible when we stay connected and continue to support the team over time.”
